About the role A well-established and highly regarded Australian retail business, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Rebates Analyst to join their Finance team. Reporting to the Rebates Manager, this role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of Finance and Commercial Operations, taking ownership of supplier rebate and commission income while delivering valuable analysis and insights to key stakeholders across the business. Key Responsibilities Manage the calculation, validation and processing of supplier rebate and commission claims. Track, monitor and reconcile rebate and commission income, ensuring accuracy and timely receipt of funds. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with Finance and Buying teams. Analyse supplier performance trends and identify risks, opportunities and areas for improvement. Prepare regular reporting, performance metrics and ad-hoc commercial analysis. Support month-end close activities, reconciliations and income recognition processes. Act as a key liaison between Finance and Commercial stakeholders. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy. About You A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or Business. Previous experience in a finance, commercial analyst, accounting or rebates-focused position. Exposure to supplier agreements and rebate structures (highly desirable). Advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Office capabilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. A proactive and solutions-focused approach to process improvement.
